Tour Overview

Sardegna reveals itself slowly.

Beyond the celebrated beaches is an island shaped by shepherds, fishermen, winemakers, artisans and families who continue traditions that have survived for generations. This journey has been personally curated to take you beyond the expected — into vineyards and farm kitchens, around shared family tables, through ancient villages and into landscapes where food, culture and place remain inseparable.

For this journey, I have drawn on my own travel experiences and have been working in partnership with Trigu Italia LLC and its owner, Richard Brownstein. Richards’ connection to Sardegna spans more than 30 years of living, working and travelling throughout the island.

As our guide, he brings an extraordinary depth of local knowledge to the journey — not simply knowing where to go, but understanding the people, traditions and stories that give Sardegna its character. His expertise has also seen him guide Stanley Tucci through Sardegna for his television series, introducing him to some of the island's distinctive culinary traditions and local personalities.

Together, Richard and I have created a journey that combines his exceptional on-the-ground knowledge and long-standing Sardinian relationships with my perspective as a chef and culinary host. The result is a deeply personal food, wine and cultural experience designed around genuine encounters, exceptional regional produce, local families, artisans and producers, and places that are often far removed from the conventional tourist trail. This collaboration also allows each journey to be professionally operated within the destination.

This is a fully hosted and inclusive culinary journey, created so that once you arrive, very little needs to be thought about. Accommodation throughout, private ground transport, your dedicated local team, expert guides, culinary experiences, producer visits, activities, tastings, lunches and dinners listed within the itinerary are included. More importantly, many of the experiences are private or personally hosted — introducing you to cooks, shepherds, cheesemakers, winemakers, artisans and families rather than simply visiting places as a tourist. Guided sightseeing is intentionally balanced with long lunches, relaxed mornings and free time to wander, shop, swim or simply sit somewhere beautiful with a glass of wine.

This isn't just a tour about seeing all of Sardegna. It's about getting to know it.
