Food, Wine and Cooking
We don’t opt to just give you the tourist menus, and the cheapest places to eat at, but hand select each venue and menu so that you are eating a variety of foods that are farm to table. It is important to us to include restaurants and meals that are part of the Slow Food movement, biological and use ingredients locally grown to that town or region.
We visit the city of Matera, UNESCO World Heritage Site. Matera is perched high on a beautiful hillside and has only recently seen by foreign eye. The city is filled with ‘sassi’, ancient cave dwellings restored for current use as homes, shops and restaurants. The Passion of Christ was filmed here and as you walk around you will truly feel like you have stepped back in time.
Beautiful and historical 4 and 5 star accommodation options.
