Spain is an area well known for its gastronomy and culinary delights. Spaniards love their food, but as in all things they take the time to savour it. Eating in Spain involves many meals,  some casual bar hopping and of course the traditional Spanish siesta. So Spain is the perfect destination for a relaxing gastronomical experience.

Visit medieval towns, coastal villages as well as local markets and bespoke private family wineries.  In addition, partake in food and wine tastings, hand on cooking classes. See cooking demonstrations from formidable Spanish chefs, dine in private houses, stay in  luxury accommodation experiencing the city, sea and country.

My Spanish Tours  include a focused tour to Barcelona, Catalonia and Costa Brava, and likewise the same gastronomic and luxury tour is now available to Rioja and Basque Country including a taste of the South of France. Claimed as one of the best-kept secrets of Spain and celebrated as one of the best regions for the excellence of food and wine.

"Barcelona, Catalonia and The Costa Brava"
Gastronomic Luxury Food & Wine Tour

As a result of Spain’s success in being the best in the world, subsequently, we have the BEST gastronomic tour for lovers of exceptionally good food and even better wine. Spain has more than 3,000 miles of coastline, and no fewer than 48 UNESCO World Heritage sites.

In addition to the incredible food and wine, you will also have the opportunity to witness and visit some of this region’s best architecture and world-class landmarks. Similarly, we have included Michelin star and private exclusive dining experiences.

Experience the lively beach resorts of Costa Brava as well as the Pyrenees Mountains. Bordered by the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, Catalonia is a traditional region of Spain that is fiercely proud of its unique culture.

On this tour, you will love the buzz of Barcelona, one of the most visited destinations. Barcelona has more than 70 top-notch museums and 24 Michelin-starred restaurants. We visit the atmospheric medieval quarter of Barcelona with its surprising modernist architecture, and the awe-inspiring Sagrada Famiglia,  the Boqueria Markets and lend a hand in a local kitchen with a hands-on cooking class.

5 minutes walking from our hotel you will find yourself right in the heart of Barcelona and the Passeig de Gràcia.  Similarly,  close by is Casa Batlló and  Casa Mila, the most famous mansion designed by Gaudi.  This colorful seaside city is full of attractions and things to do. So your free time on the tour will be very much welcomed.  Rivaling Barcelona in historic importance and one of the tour highlights is the town of Girona.

We visit the coves of Cadaqués, a famous artists village in the middle of the Cap de Creus peninsula, home to Salvador Dali,  also known as one of the prettiest towns in Costa Brava.     Stretching northeast from the coves and beaches of Blanes to Catalonia’s border with France, the Costa Brava is Spain’s most beautiful coastline. This 1,240-mile coast of rugged cliffs and idyllic beaches is one of Europe’s favorite seaside playgrounds, and its pretty little whitewashed towns have lured artists that include Dali, Picasso, and Marc Chagall.

"Rioja and Basque Country"
Gastronomic Luxury Food & Wine Tour

Journey to north-central Spain, and discover the Rioja and Basque Country,  one of Spain’s most famous wine-producing areas with over 500 wineries. Unspoiled natural beauty,  historical sites, cultural attractions, first class Michelin restaurants, food experiences, and in particular the wine, famous for the distinctive, earthy flavours of the Tempranillo grape.

If you want to escape the hordes of tourists and immerse yourself in true Spanish culture enjoying spectacular attractions,  a stunningly beautiful agricultural region rich in culinary excellence and viniculture,  and luxury accommodations which take you from sea to city to country. This may be the tour for you.

In this tour we unveil the true essence of Spain. With breathtaking landscapes, rolling wheat fields, Medieval villages, and the lush green terrain of the Ebro River Valley, Rioja is not only one of the best regions for food and wine in Spain but is rated among one of the top destinations around the world.

This tour will give you one of the most delicious journeys into this regions best producers while crisscrossing the stunning countryside, with vineyards and villages pressed against the mountains.

We start the tour in Laguardia,  a picturesque small medieval walled town, perched on a hilltop. With over 300 wine cellars beneath us which spans almost larger than the town itself,  this is where your Spanish immersion really starts.

Enjoy Michelin star dining, the famous specialty pintxo and wine bars of Logrono, guided walking tours of nearby towns such as Briones and Haro, premium and private wine tastings and food pairings in award-winning wineries, local food market visits, cooking demonstrations in private members only Gastronomy Society clubs. We indulge in experiences with local insiders such as chefs, winemakers, artisans, and artists.

We discover the Basque Country’s seaside symbol: San Sebastian, the capital of Basque cuisine.  With spectacular views of San Sebastian’s La Concha beach and bay,  our stay takes you on a private guided tour finishing with lunch in the old quarter, we discover the best of local produce with guided market tours and pintxo cooking classes.  Cider tasting, visits to famous cheesemakers, and a visit to the cliffs of Zumaia are complimented with wine tastings and a visit to one of the boutique small good producers, famous for his sausages and cured pork.

Combining luxury and history we stay in towns like Hondarribia, rich in architecture as well as gastronomy and boasts almost as many Michelin star restaurants and talented Spanish chefs as San Sebastian itself.  It’s one of the most beautiful towns in the Basque Country. A real must-see and a feast for the eyes and the taste buds.

As an extra addition to our Spanish journey we venture to the South of France with guided tours  to Biarritz and the fabulously bustling and beautiful town of St Jean de Lux. Positioned between Biarritz and the Spanish border, this fishing village combines Basque charm with family-friendly beaches. Saint Jean De Lux has something for everyone and every interest.

We finish the tour in Bilbao, a lively city famous for its Guggenheim Museum.
