These gooey little Flourless Chocolate Puddings with Strawberry Basil Salad are easy to prepare and the perfect romantic dessert to serve your loved one. These puddings are the perfect treat for sharing with your sweetie. Not only are they easy to put together but also can be made ahead of time to be reheated.
Preheat the oven to 200c.
Place chocolate and butter in a bowl over a pot of simmering water and stir until melted.
In a separate bowl place the eggs, sugar and flour and mix until combined.
Fold in the chocolate mixture. Before dividing the mixture between four 200ml greased and lightly floured ovenproof ramekins, cut a small disc of baking paper and line the bottom of the mould. This makes turning the puddings out much easier.
Place puddings on an oven tray and cook in a 200C oven for 15 mins. The edges should be set and the centre soft. Remove from oven and gently turn puddings out onto a serving plate.
For the basil and strawberry salad, combine the strawberries, basil, icing sugar and orange juice and allow it to sit in the fridge for at least an hour.
Serve the flourless chocolate puddings with strawberry basil salad on top, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream
